November, some photos

Here are some photographs from over the summer and from recently. It is getting very cold very fast , its hard to believe that its already november, the days in which I wore shorts and sandals seems like just yersterday. Today was, my last day of bicycling till next spring. I'll be getting around via metro from now on, starting tomorrow, despite the obvious issues of the climate, I am actually looking forward to the winter, whenever I think of Montreal, montreal downtown, montreal streets, montreal cafes, montreal apartments, I always imagine them as being covered in a thick layer of snow (well excluding the interior of the cafes, of course!). I will be doing some shopping for a new winter coat next weekend, my current one is old, and not much in the way of style.

I saw my dad today, at his apartment. I picked up the gloves that I had forgotten at the cafe we were at the other day, had lunch, drank tea, chatted, etc. I had a bit of a surprise at some point when I was there actually, he gave me an excellent computer backpack, his old one, the strap is technically "broken", but is tied. I had been intending to get one for a while, there was one of decent quality at bureau engros that I had my eye on, but this one is just as good, even better since it was free. My old one was not an actual computer backpack, so would break sooner or later, was small, and was old (6 years) a good backpack though, as I had jam packed it with so much, but anyways I'll shut up about backpacks for now though. He also gave me "The Idiot" By Fyodor Dostoevsky, and a computer keyboard. The book was by an author of which I have read several publications previously, but of which I have enjoyed, the few that I've read that is.

I have been reading the 2 dozen or so books that I have from the library, (well, two or three libraries) not all at once of course, but a few at a time.

My dad put his film that he had done for his university degree, on youtube. I had seen it once before at the concordia cinema place. But that was several years ago, and I didn't really remember anything of it.

Anyways. I have to make myself a bit of a supper, I'll blog again sometime soon.

Great post, Jake! keep it up. Your best, in a way, since you are consciously aware of what you want to write, and how you feel about certain things, like winter, etc.

Yeah. I now have a bus pass, and my bike is stored away.

I have been writing a lot of other things as well, my journal, stories, etc. I should post some of that some time maybe.
