I'm gonna have to phone up acer about the laptop on monday. I'll have to send it in again...

New build of Vista Released to Connect testers!! Messenger Plus Live Released!!!

Microsoft putting limitations on WLM?

The newly released build 792 of Windows Live Messenger continues to surprise, some days after its release. Mess.Be, in its third "review" part of the build, points out a few interesting error messages which appeared in the string tables:

- "The following message could not be delivered because you have exceeded the maximum number of messages per minute. Please try again later."

- "This message was not sent because you don't have permission to send an offline message."

- "This message was not sent because it is too large for the user's offline message store."

- "This message was not sent because Offline Instant Messaging is not yet available in your region."

Those seem quite limiting. It is unknown yet in what cases those error messages will appear in future builds, but it is suspected that those will happen during an offline messaging session with Yahoo! Messenger users, as this seems to be the point of this build: preparing users to Yahoo! Messenger interoperability.

Oh no...

I just accidentally copied all the HTML in my Blog and pasted it... In other words the blog is now doubled... I had not meant to do this.. grrrrrrrrrr....

Actually instead of a web host I will build a server to host my forums and site etc.

Im sick actually... But I'm getting over it lol.

The MSN servers were down for 2 hours. And then rite after a new build of MSN was released... There were no apparant changes but then a while later mess.be discovered that the new build is ready for yahoo! to WLM interoberability...!!! The onlyt thing that is left is for the MSP14 protocol to be enabled...

I just downloaded SmartFTP client onto my computer. It works great... Very good, and its free!!!

BTW I fixed the Blog!!! :D

Hello All,
I've been swimming and biking a lot recently. Its been really hot but with the ocaisional rain.

Windows Vista Beta 2 has been released to the public (this is old news actually)!!!! as has Windows Live Messenger Final!!!! WLM Final was released just yesterday.

I will be getting a good web host soon. Then I will install IPB forums, a ModX site, and a Wordpress blog...

I have finally installed Windows X's Vista Transformation pack 4.0. I installed it no problems.

I downloaded Wordpress and ModX. Both of which are free. Well soon enough I'll have a good site and stuff...

WindowsXlive.net has been down for weeks. Because of a problem in the CMS of his site. Its unfortunate because the design was so nice. As well as the fact that you cant download any of his stuff.

He is going to try a new CMS soon. So hopefully it'll be back up soon.

I am kinda dissapointed actually that WLM final has the same UI as the previous beta.

There is to be a new CTP for Vista coming out soon...

My forums are proceeding well. Already 17 members...

Opera 9 is released!!! But with lots of bugs and stuff... :(

I got the laptop back. But I'm having the problem again... :( Im gonna reinstall XP and if that doesn't work then I'll demand Replacement laptop from acer...

Anyway I'll be getting my CV off soon. My digital camera will be back on sunday so that i can put my picture into it...

I can actually use this 17" LCD monitor on my next PC... The next one that I will be building...

Im thinking of buying a cell-phone soon. I like Nokia, but Erricson and Motorola are good as well.

I downloaded AIM today. Its the AOL Messenger I trust you know....-lol

I went to this one library and took out a couple books on Mac OS X. I like the Mac Operating system and want to learn how to use it. Next week I'll be seeing a friend who ahs a Mac Laptop so I'll be able to try it out then.

I got an email from Acer saying that my laptop has arrived at the repair facility and that they will notify me when it is done.

Let me explain: The problem that I was having before was back... And so I phoned acer and they came a couple of days ago and picked it up.

Anyway I will have it back soon and then I will be back on track. In the meantime though I'm stuck with my crappy old pentium 3 desktop... XD...

I saw a person in a library who had their toshiba laptop on his lap.. You see the term "laptop" is deceiving, It is very uncomfortable to actually use them like that as they can get very hot and stuff...

I'll be going to a nice party today actually... I'm really looking forward to it. I get to see a bunch o0f people whom I had met a while ago including this one friend of mine..

I will be visiting a friend of mine next week...

I suddenly found out from this friend of mine on MSN that she had built Her PC... I hadn't thought that she was much of a techie lol...

Im looking forward to getting my laptop back and building my next PC...

FireFox is nice but its RAM greedy... 93 MB of RAM at one point!!! Thats more than iTunes which is really a resource hog...

I really like IE7 actually... It has a great clean UI and stuff and I love the "quick-tabs" feature..

I enabled web-hosting on my moms website lol.. I hate the web host register4less... XD

I like the web host "a small orange" ( http://www.asmallorange.com ) It gives a lot of space, and you don't have to pay much...

I like yahoo messenger... The downside is that it frequently crashes which is extremelly irritating... XD

Well Im stuck with my old pentium 3 desktop until my laptop gets back from Acer america repair. The purolater truck came yesterday to pick it up.

However I am trying ot make the best of my stay with my old computer so I've added some programs and put on a nice theme and wallpaper etc. A screenshot is above.

The programs that I've installed onto it are as follows:

and a few others...

The Desktop had been having a problem and was blue-screening at every boot. However I fixed that... But after that I discovered that all of my audio drivers weren't working at that the registry keys had been removed or damaged as well as that for the PCI simple communications driver...

I like XP silver theme... As well as royale... This Vista themes are making me sick lol... Theres just too many...

BTW I got the WindowBlinds problem all sorted out. The dates were mismatched and I also got the receipt email resent to me so thats that...

Avast! Is pretty good... I am using it on this PC...

So this PC is going pretty well its just that I cant listen to anything because of the drivers...

I also installed Skype and AIM Triton... And Yahoo! Messenger...

My dads gotten back to blogging a lot..

Im planning on going to milwaukee for a vacation this summer. My aunt lives there actually. So I will be able to stay at her place.

The past few days have been very stressful etc... But things are fortunately getting sorted out..

I have this friend of mine called Nicholas who thinks that LimeWire is better than bittorrent... huh? BT is better by far...

When I go to Milwaukee my laptop will be with me so I'll be able to blog from there and I'll post some pictures and stuff...

I would reformat this computer and stuff except that this is a pirated copy of XP... And I dont have a product key...

I love my Blog's banner... Most blogs hosted on blogspot just have boring text titles and thats it but not with me...

FireFox is nice but is really RAM Greedy lol..

Well I'm back with a bunch of news...

Yesterday I went to that cyber cafe again and my laptop started freezing at startup and stuff. I brought it back home and turned it on and it was fine lol. Anyway its bee working today and I havesince theorized that the magnetic fields from some drills they were using was screwing with the HDD. Anyway Problem solved.

I have now created a new MSN account and moved all of my contacts into it. The address it: jacob@winxperts.net

A copy of IPB cost about 69 dollars. I may create a forum of my own some time.

I installed adaware onto my laptop. It is about time...

WinXperts now has 50 members and JCXP 8000.

I also made a backup CD of all of my files :) It took up 3 CD's worth of stuff...

I finished downloading Windows XP x64. If that works out then I'll disinstall my current Windows XP Home x86 SP1 build 2600 and install Vista x64...

I finally defragmented my HDD with DiskKeeper...
