Update

I just went on another photography trip. I'll post the pictures later. I took several fairly good ones I think.

I am now nearly at 700 posts at JCXP. I changed my avatar to a picture from the Matrix actually.

I went over to a party a couple days ago, it was fun. I got back home by around 12:00 in the night. I went there on saturday.

The WinWizard has a Dell XPS M1710 laptop. Its that one that was 5000$. Perhaps I'll buy that one some day... LOL.

I went swimming at an indoor pool yesterday. I went down the slide 4 times. There was a photographer over there with a Nikon D70 digital camera.

At some point I will buy a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT. But first I will build a new system. The specs of teh upcoming system are in my JCXP sig, but just to make it easier here they are:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 2.40 GHz
ASUS P5N32-SLI Deluxe Socket 775 ATX MotherBoard
2 GB's OCZ Dual Channel PC5400 DDR2 Platinum
Ultra Silver Aluminus ATX Mid-Tower Case
Ultra X2 Connect 550w PSU
Creative X-FI Xtreme Music Sound Card
Logitech Z-5500 5.1 Speaker System
Logitech MX3000 Keyboard & Mouse
Plextor PX-760A DVD-RW
LG 17" L1752TX-BF LCD Monitor
ThermalTake Blue Orb II CPU Fan
ATI Radeon X1950XTX with 512 MB of RAM

Very nice eh? It'll cost quite a bit. I like the look of those specs. The MX3000 keyboard & mouse truly are amazing. And the speaker system is incredible. :-o

I am really having fun with this camera.

Here is a link to a very interesting simulation of the Fuji S5000. All of the buttons work. And you can even take and look at pictures.

Nero Burning ROM 7.2.7.0 has now been released. It looks nice.

I saw the LG 17" Flatron LCD that I want to get for only 188$ today. A very good price.

Post from after midnight!

Its 12:22 AM right now. In the morning. Hence the title.

I hope that you liked those pictures there that I took with my new camera. Some of them are fairly good I think...

Im on my laptop right now. In the front room. Im going to be going to bed in a while. Maybe half an hour. I'm just going to post a couple more posts at JCXP, chat a little more to a couple of people and then I'll go to bed.

I really do love my laptop and my new camera. They are excellent. I really love them. I was working a bit more on my new novel today.

If you sign up for the Windows Live Messenger Beta on connect then Microsoft sends a free laptop bag as a gift of thanks for testing it. I wish that I would get that bag. I need one. And Im not willing to spend 80$ on a bag...

I really like the 2 GHz Black MacBook. Cheese Penguins from JCXP got one actually. It costs 1500$ though. Which is a bit over my budget. (around 1000$)

Here is the link to a review on that particular MacBook.

I read lots of reviews on the internet. On cameras and laptops. Its fun and in a way relaxing, I find.

Apple and Toshiba are the two companies that spend the most on design for their computers. Apples designs and stuff is really amazing. But Toshiba has some really good design on its P-105.

Anyway I'll be going now

Those pictures are here!

Long time no Bloggee...

Well its been a fair amount of time since my last blog post. I have modified the header with those nice leaves... And if you've looked at the sidebar you will see that there is something fishy and yet exciting...

The "thing" in the sidebar is something that says "Pictures taken With a Fuji S5200 and a Kodak CX7300. The second one you know about and is the one that I have been taking all of ym pictures with. But the second one...

Well here is goes: I have bought my new camera. It is, as you can see in the sidebar and the review that I have linked there, a FujiFilm FinePix S5200. It cost me about 400$ CAD. And in my opionion is excellent!

I went out taking photo's today. But have not transferred them onto my notebook yet. I will transfer them later tommorrow, as I have a Doctors apointment in the morning. As well as the fact that I will be taking more photo's later that day, downtown and possibly up the mountain with my new powerful 10x zoom lense.

I really love the camera. It is so much better than my old one. It has a 10x optical zoom, an electronic viewfinder, PictBridge compatibility, and a 5.1 megapixel resolution. I had installed the FinePix software earlier today, so Im all set up to transfer my pictures.

It is a very nice looking camera. With a traditional design, it looks like and handles like an SLR. But its fairly small and light. I'm extremely pleased with it.

I will post those pictures that I took today as well as the ones that will be coming up tommorrow as soon as they are onto my notebook.

The Fuji S5200 is in the same series as Turton's camera, except that it is a bit more recent. (Turtons is the S5000)

I had actually seen the Olympus C-770 camera in a photography store at the same mall where I had bought this one. It was slightly below the price that I had bought my Fuji S5200 at. I was considering buying it until I saw the Fuji S5200 at Bureau Engros.

So you can expect those pictures on saturday at the absolute latest! I myself am looking forward to using it downtown.

Fuji recommends the use of the seperately sold AC adapter when transferring photo's to the computer. But I am disregarding that as I dont take that many pictures when I go outside anyway. As well as the fact that I have'nt been using my flash outside. I will probably transfer all of the pictures at the same time.

I went over to the library today. I didn't do that much there actually.

My laptop is now receiving the wireless signal from the front room! That means that I can get my connection from my bedroom rather than having to go to the other side of the house which is not insulated and therefore will be closed in the winter.

I was chatting to Stella several days ago. She has got her sisters old laptop. It is an ASUS M something. Its kind of old. But it has a Pentium 4 @ 1.8 GHz, and 512 MB's of RAM so it should be reasonably speedy.

Stella has a Nikon 5900 Digital camera. It has the same 5.1 Megapixel resolution as my current camera, But does not have the nice design and 10x optical zoom of mine. Mine also has the electronic viewfinder receiving imformation from the lense itself, so that you actually see the image that you will be taking, rather than just a view of what is right above the lense.

I was using a pistol-grip on my camera when I was using it today. Its a fun thing to use. As it steadies the camera and makes it easier to hold.

Thoth sure has a lot of pictures on his computer. About 4.5 GB. Although I heard of someone who had 9 GB's. But they mount up the more pictures that you take. I nowadays prefer to take fewer but better pictures.

I actually prefer using the viewfinder. Because its easier to use, and lets you see the image that you're going to be taking better.

Anyway I am very pleased about my recent buy.

I will be editing my CV a bit. I just bought the 4*10" glossy photo-paper today. I will be mailing it off to the casting agency very soon.

I have started working on a new novel. It is a Thriller type of novel. I am really enjoying writing it although I haven't been on my laptop too much recently because I have been busy going outside and taking pictures etc.But I will get back to work on it soon.

A 2 GHz Black MacBook cost 1500$ at its minimum configuration. A bit too expensive expecially considering that I have jsut bought my new camera. Perhaps some day I will buy one. Or maybe an iBook G4 for under 1000$.

When it comes to laptops, my budget is usually around 1000$. Usually I put on a maximum of 1200$. You can get very good models for under 1000$ usually. Such as the HP notebook that I had mentioned in my earlier post. Or the iBook G4.

It has been raining a bit today. Not for long. Just for a few minutes. It had been cloudy all day before that. Luckily I had managed to get back home before it started to rain too much.

Windows X's Vista Transformation Pack 5.0 has been released today. As well as it being his birthday. The VTP5 is very nice. With several new and exciting features. I can't wait to try it out!

I have 72 MSN contacts at the moment. But some of them are the same person's different adresses, as well as some old ones which they still use occaisionally.

I have just posted quite a long post right now haven't I? Longer than usual.

Links & stuff

Well as you can see I have changed the skin of my blog once again. To the "Harbor" skin. Its a fairly nice skin. The only problem that I have with it is that it doesn't really let you customize it much.

One of the problems that I have with Blogger is the speed. It has been working very slowly lately. It had taken days for my links in the sidebar to all appear. As well as the fact that it takes so long to upload files...

Another problem that I have is the lack of skins. There are only a dozen or so skins that you can use. And you cannot upload your own skins.

Here are several links:

That last laptop there is amazing. Amazingly powerful as well as amzingly expensive! That laptop is nearly 5000$!!!

There is a new version of Google talk that has been released. Version 1.0.0.95. It has new features including:

-File Transfers
-The ability to leave a voice-mail for someone who is offline
- The ability to show what music that you are listening to then.

Those are a few of the new features. Its looking good.

Actually I have reverted back to my previous skin. I find the harbor skin more attractive but not a efficient as this one.

I really like the ASUS P5N32-SLI motherboard. It is really powerful and has a lot of features. I will probably get it later on for my next PC. And I will also get the Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 @ 2.66 GHz.

Here Is the link to the info on the P5N32-SLI MoBo.

My laptop's internet connection is back up. I will be buying the Linksys WRT54G Wireless router. I will be getting some faster internet soon. 2 mbps at least.

That particular router is very good. The FirmWare is hackable. And its only 50$ from TigerDirect.ca

I like D-Link and LinkSys routers. And I like Gigabyte and ASUS MotherBoards.

Mac Pro...

Apple has just released a new supercomputer called the Mac pro. It really is excellent. It has a NVIDIA Quadro GFX card with dual DVI connectors, and 512 MB's of GDDR3 RAM. Dual Gigabit ethernet ports, up to 16 GB's of RAM. Two optical drive bays, 4 Hard Drive bays. Dual Intel Opteron 2.66 GHz CPU's, and much, much, much, much ,much, much, much, much, much more! All of that for only 23,000$ (lol)

The design is pretty much the same as previous macs. With a mesh case, and handle's on top. But it has 2 USB, and 2 FireWire ports on the front. One of the many excellent features about the mac pro is those 2 ENOURMOUS heat sinks. It really is a wonderful machine. It has 2 cards, upon of which are 4 ram slots. The Ram sticks themselves have huge heat sinks.

There are 4 PCI-express slots. One of which is occupied by the video card. Which is non-SLI compatible.

The Mac Pro comes with a Sony DVD/CD-RW. The standard hard drive is a Seagate 250 GB, 7200 RPM drive. But there is room for 3 other drives.

There is a light above the hard drive's that indicate if the hard drive can be removed or not. It glows orange. Its an interesting feature.

The Ram has an additional processor on it which generates a fair amount of heat. Hence the big heat sinks. Its amazing though that you can put in so much Ram. 16 GB.

Unfortunately though its too much money for most folks to afford.

I am very impressed by that computer. I like the external and internal design as well. The back has 3 USB ports. Making that a total of 5 USB Ports. And then there are the 4 firewire ports.

Here is a link to a video on youtube of the Mac Pro: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtaeM1T4ZRg&eurl=http://www.macuser.com/index.php?page%3D2

And an article on the inards of the Mac Pro: http://www.powermax.com/articles_reviews/article.php?id=33

I do love apple. The iPod, and they're MacBook laptops, as well as this new desktop. They're all amazing innovations. And Mac OS X leopard, is far superior to Windows Vista. I am definitely going to convert to Mac when I get my next laptop. I can also install Windows XP onto it now. Due to bootcamp.

Microsoft has always lagged behind. Mac was always ahead of the game with the design of their computers. As well as the new UI of Mac OS X. As well as the better feature's and simplicity in the OS...

My next laptop will be a mac. No doubt about it. I had been doing some things before this like skinning and stuff that required a PC but now I've stopped. So I will definetely by a Mac. And this video has convinced me even more of apple's superiority. And software compatibility is no longer an issue as intel CPu's are being used now. And XP can be installed onto a Mac.

The camera that I want (FujiFilm FinePix S5000) is usually 500$ but I can get it for under 300$. I will be calling around at various stores next week to check the prices. As well as check various online site's, such as amazon.ca and other sites for a good deal on the camera. Actually just today when I went biking I saw someone with the model that I want. An interesting coincidence.

Ahem, yes. I went biking again today. To the old port. (For those of you who have been in montreal) with Miyuki. I should have brought my camera over there. Because there were some good shots that I could have taken.

So you can certainly expect new pictures from a new camera by next month at the latest! And next year I intend to build a new and powerful desktop. For gaming. I will spend up to 2000$ in total. But I could get a lower-priced system of course. I'm just saying that 2000$ is the max that I'm willing to spend.

Its too bad though that the Mac Pro is so expensive. Actually there's someone on JCXP, who was saying that his dream system, is 5000 of the Mac Pro's all clustered together, to work together, to form an ultra-powerful computer.

The trip to my aunt is coming closer! Miyuki is leaving very soon. But there will be another person later this week. Who will be arriving on friday.

OMG!!! A huge post here!

Anyway bye for now

Website progress, and more stuff thats been going on in the latter half of today

I have just been working on the design for the Milwaukee page. Its fairly simple. But I was trying to decide what color's to make the page and what color for the text etc. As well as what other stuff I shoudl put into the page. The design ended up being quite simple. Just a black background, with grey text. The page will mostly just be a photo album for pictures that I will take over there as well as a bit of a review of what I thought about it.

I just went a played some frisbee nearby the river with Miyuki. It was fun actually. I used my friend, Kyle's frisbee instead of the one that I actually have. The frisbee I used was a lot lighter, so the wind threw it to the side, making it difficult to play.

I think that my website will turn out very well. Its a simpler design than my previous sites. And its more devoted to photography, and stuff about Milwaukee, ottawa, and montreal. Rather than just a few things about computers. I will also write some reviews of various digital cameras. I plan to definetely write reviews on these ones: Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT, Sony CyberShot R1, Nikon D100, Kodak CX7300, Olympus E-500 Evolt, and my current laptop.

I like Turtons website. Its simple, but has a lot of information in an efficient design.

I have been updating the sidebar a bit today. I just found that it was time to update it with some new stuff. Like Stella's website, some of my favorite radio stations etc.

I like blogging a lot when I'm tired or stressed, or anxious. I find that it helps me a lot. I also enjoy working on my site. But that involves a lot more mental energy.

My laptop's internet is still down. I'm a little worried. But I'm going to visit an internet cafe at some point soon. Actually my next digital camera will be PictBridge compatible. So I'll be able to print pictures without needing to use my computer.

Once I get the index page finished and the design fine-tuned etc. I'll set it up on either my ISP's free web space, a free service. Or I'll just pay for some web space. Turton uses his ISP which is EV1, at least I think so...

Anyway I need to go now. I probably won't be blogging quite so much this coming week, or tommorrow.

Bye!

PS: The site will be up soon!

Been busy working on new website

Well I've been very busy the past few days. Why? Because I have been busy designing a new website for myself. The new website will be a news/photography reviews/turorials site. It's going very well so far. However it is not actually online up and running yet. I have been working on it, on my computer.

I will be buying a FujiFilm S5000 soon. I can get one for only 375$$... I'm looking forward to getting it!

I have added Michael Turtons website's to my sidebar. As well as Stella's website, and MySuperPC.com.

The new person from japan is here. Her name is Miyuki. She's 20 years old. I like her. She has a cell phone that is also a TV actually... And a digital camera. Quite a feature-rich device!

I quite like the Olympus C770 digital camera. It is an ultra-zoom digital camera. Actually it is Michael Turtons other camera. Its about 700$...

I went biking again today. I had fun. I biked quite a distance actually.

I don't know why but for some reason my blog is taking a really long time to update. Longer than it did before at least. I'm not sure why exactly. But the blog is working, so that's all that I really care about.

I like the idea of the plastic case that you can put your digital camera into, so that you can take underwater shots...

Stella's website is nice. But she should add some more pictures, or else create a new taiwan website for pictures and information about taiwan. It has quite a nice design, with those buttons, and the header...

The C770 has an interesting menu design... But quite simple... Although not like anything that I've seen before...

I like the D100 menu design. Its simple, and sorted in to categories. The controls and good too.

Perhaps I will have that digital camera by the time that I go on the trip to Milwaukee! Then I can take some good pictures over there with it.

Those pic's that I promised you all earlier today are here!

McGill Campus

Mr James McGill
McGill Music Conservatory
My Room. (Yes that armchair is the new chair)

Here's those pics that I had promised you in my previous post. I just went over to McGill campus and took a couple of pictures. The other reason that I had went on the trip was so that I could visit MicroBytes, a computer store. I had just checked out their website, and used the tool on their site that lets you tell them what you would want to have in your computer and then it tells you the price. I put in the specs of my upcoming desktop and it had said that it would cost me nearly 7000$!!! Crazy! But then again I don't get those rebates and stuff that I would if I bought them myself from a store. I also visited this camera store for a few minutes. MicroBytes is a really great store. They have lots of professional components and peripherals. They sell games as well. Actually you can have a game included with the computer if you get one from them.

My internet is still down. To tell the truth I just access a Wi-Fi network from my apartment. I'm not sure how far I am from them. But I usually get very good speeds and am able to rely on it. All the more reason to get high-speed and a router!

My dad hasn't been blogging very much. His last post was the one with the Dr Octagon music.

Actually I'm not in a very good mood recently. I'm very tired and depressed for some reason. I have no idea why. And also I've had a lot of anxiety with some things...

The Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT includes Digital Photo Professional. I've never used that software before actually so I'm not exactly sure how it compares to other software such as ACDsee.

I have updated the pictures in the sidebar today, as well as put in a couple new links.

Actually I had a bit of a problem finding MicroBytes when I was over there today. Actually I hadn't actually found it even. I was just walking and then suddenly I saw the MicroBytes logo on the store window right beside me.

I like Plextor, its a good company. Very good quality of components.

Actually when I was at microbytes they had linked a dozen LCD monitors to a single computer. It was a fairly average system actually. It had an AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 1 GB Ram, a Maxtor 80 GB HDD, and an ATI X700 Video Card with 256 MB of memory. The only notable thing about it was the fact that it had watercooling. They had it connected to this logitech 5.1 speaker system. It was rather odd though, that they would connect it to so many monitors.

I'll be going on my vacation to Milwaukee on the 28th. Thats official. I'm really looking forward to it!

I hope that you like those pictures. I think that some of them turned out well...

The apartment is gonna be really cramped this weekend!

A new roommate from japan will be arriving here tomorrow. The place will be very cramped for this upcomign weekend. And only for this weekend as she is only staying here for the weekend.

We just got a new arm-chair and put it iunside my room. Its really nice and comfortable. We also bought a new fouton.

Ive been busy getting the film extras thing worked out. My CV is done and the picture printed.

Unfortunately my internet has not been working too well for several days. So Im not blogging from my laptop right now...

Mac OS X leopard the upcoming version of the Mac OS is so much better than vista. Once again apple wins!!!

I will buy a macintosh laptop as my next computer. I really am wanting to switch now. And the fact that you can install Windows XP on Mac's nowadays makes that even more likely.

I'll be going on another photography trip soon. Probably later today. So expect some more pictures soon!

I'm really interested in photography these days. It just really frustrates me that I have such a primitive camera.

I'll either get a Canon Rebel XT, a Sony R1, or a Nikon D100. They're not in the 2000-5000$ range. But more in the 800-1500$ Range. Some camera's these days are like 6000$! Crazy... But its probably worth it. Considering the power that you can get from those. Like the really high-end Nikons...

I like the Controls on the Canon Rebel XT. They're relatively simple to use. Unlike some. I would probably get it in Silver, not black actually. The silver looks far more stylish.

I'll also be able to print the pictures with my photo printer as the camera is pict-bridge compatible...

Here is a list of all of the digital camera review website's that I use.

    Macintosh laptops

A photographer who I know. Rob. Came over today and brought along his Nikon D100 Digital Camera and his iBook G4 12" laptop. I really liked the camera. He let me use it a bit. Its a 6.1 mpx SLR model. It used to cost 3000$ when he had got it but I could probably get it for a bit over a thousand dollars canadian now.

His mac laptop was very nice. As you can see I have added a review of that model in the reviews section of the sidebar. I used his laptop a bit. It was very nice. I may buy a mac as my next laptop even!

Heres a review on the MacBook: http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=3055
    And another: http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=2946&review=Apple+MacBook

I will buy a new wireless router soon. I may be getting high-speed internet soon.

I like the look of Macintosh laptops. They're really beautiful. Apple is so much better at design than other companies. I especially like the apple logo on the back that lights up when its on. The MacBook's are so much better. I actually prefer them being so much smaller.

Rob's iBook G4 was very light and small. I found that I instictively knew how to use the Operating System. It was really fun. His camera was very nice as well. I also aldded a review of it to the sidebar.

I really hope that I will get my new camera soon. Either a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT, a Nikon D70s, or a Sony Cyber-Shot R1.

But its actually not so much what is more powerful but what you feel comfortable with. I felt comfortable with Rob's camera and those other three I just mentioned.

I bought this acer aspire 5000 laptop on May 14th. For some reason it seems like I've had it a lot longer. Like 6 months.

I was surprised that Rob had an Apple laptop. He said that it had cost 1200$ in total. Quite good price actually. I also like the slot-loading Optical Drive. My dad's laptop is the exact same model. Except that he got his with 1 GB of RAM. While Rob had 512 MB...

I finished downloading all of Stella's pictures of her time in montreal that she had put onto her website. Stella sure liked taking pictures and videos! I now have about 500 on my laptop. Thoth has so many pictures on his computer. Like 4 GB. But its 8 GB in total as for some reason they are all duplicated. I would have far more if I could transfer pictures from my digital camera easily!

Rob was planning on giving me his red iBook carrying case. But it was too small for my 15.4 inch, widescreen laptop! I'll buy one myself soon. One designed for my size of notebook.

The MacBook's and MacBook Pro's are so nice. I would probably get the black model though. I find it more professional. And more stylish. The only thing is that mac's aren't exceptionally good at gaming. But then again I don't really game much on laptop's anyway so I don't really care about the graphics and speakers. Considering as I use head-phones mostly.

    Dr Octagon

I downloaded the entire Dr Octagon music album from download.com. That was the music that Thoth had posted onto his blog. Its quite good actually. I just transfered it onto my iPod.

I found that some of those pictures I had put into my last post, made nice wallpapers. In fact I am using one of them right now.

Its 9:20 AM right now. I got up several hours ago. The weather was very nice yesterday, and today has similar weather.

I will be getting Andrew's music today. My music collecton is getting quite big. I have a wide variety of bands and genre's.

Stella has made 2 videos and put them on youTube, and Thoth has one. Thoths YouTube ID is "nunoftheabove". An interesting username.

Heres a recent screenshot of my desktop:

    Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

I hope to update the sidebar and header soon. I will go to the mountain at night. And take some pictures from the lookout. I'll make the resulting picture, my blog header.

My blog sure has a lot of posts in it now! As well as the 6 months of archives. I will get a new freewebs account, or another free web host. And then set up some pages in it, and link them to the blog in the sidebar, that way it will appear that I have other pages.

BTW: I just set up the freewebs site. And I also wrote the welcome page. More pages will come soon. Like the photos page, the ottawa page, the milwaukee page, and the montreal page to name a few that I intend to make.

Another Photography trip. This time to the Plateau.

I went on another Photographing trip today. I went to the plateau a bit. Above are some recent pictures. I was gone for about 3 hours. It was fun. Its is now about 10:00 PM.

Thoth posted a link to some nice music on his blog. Just check it out at his latest blog entry.

I'll be working on my CV this upcoming week. As well as working on a website. And finishing my novel.

I finally got an antivirus onto my computer. Its NOD32. I really like it actually. It takes hardly any system resources and according to other peoples opinions as well as various tests it is really good at catching various virus's.

Nikons top-end camera is sooo expensive. Its nearly 5000$$. Ridiculous. I know a photographer who has the top-end camera, although he is a professional photographer. If I were to get a high-end camera I would get the Sony R1. Which is what I will be getting. Actually that same person recommended the sony R1.

Stella has posted a new video on her blog. It was taken when she was here actually. It's fairly good actually. My dad who was working towards a degree in film-making was quite impressed.

Once I buy a new digital camcorder for about 400$ I'll be able to post my own video's here. There are 3 types of digital camcorders: MiniDV, DVD, & Hard Drive. MiniDV is least expensive and hard drive is most expensive, ranging in the 1000$-2000$ range. I'll get a MiniDV. Its cheapest. And I dont really want to take professional video's anyway. I more just want to be able to take audio & video recordings with it on the mountain or whatever.

Toshiba's really made a good gaming laptop. Its 2000$. But it has really powerful hardware. I wouldn't buy it though. Its too expensive, big, and heavy. I prefer good value, small, & fast. I don't really aim for excellent-quality graphics when it comes to laptops. Gaming is more for desktops in my view. I prefer to use laptops for stuff that requires more portability.

I prefer 15-16" LCD screens when it comes to laptops. There isn't really such a thing as a gaming ultra-portable. I prefer the smaller and lighter ones because they're more convenient. A friend of mine wants a gaming laptop with a 17 or 20 inch screen, excellent speed graphics & portability. You can get the first few. But not the portability. The acer aspire 9000 series is good. As is that 2000$ toshiba.

Anyway Im going to have to go now. I hope that you enjoy the pictures!

    New toy

Well I've been busy playing with my new toy today. Its an HP DeskJet 5940 Photo Printer. 130$ CAD. I really love it! I bought it on friday at The Source. Actually I got it on sale for only 70$. Which was really good as I wouldn't have bought it if it had been its usual 130$. I would have bought a muti-funtion printer. But this one was such a good price that I couldn't resist.

PC Guru has started a new blog: http://www.atrfm.com/ollie As has Narutometal: http://narumeta.blogspot.com/

Windows X's site has been working for quite a while now. It's design is very nice. And there's a lot more news articles now.

Thoth posted some screenshots of his desktop on his blog. You can visit it via the link in the sidebar.

Very chilly weather right now actually. Its like it autumn! I had tried running the Windows Game Advisor Here But the strange thing is that it didn't recognise some of my hardware.

I've been getting more comments and more people visiting my blog actually. Its good.

Its 9:30 AM right now. I got up at about 5:00 AM so I've been up for a while.

I wish that I had bluetooth on my laptop. I'm actually fairly impressed by the Compaq Presario notebooks. I quite like this one Here It has a lot of good features as well as the Turion X2 CPU.

I wonder what my next laptop will be... Maybe a Sony VAIO, or another acer, or perhaps an ASUS, or that Compaq. I'm actually not much of a fan of toshiba notebooks. I find that they have a tendancy to use not quality components...

If I wanted to ustomize that compaq notebook I would select:

    Windows XP Pro
    AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-56 @ 1.80 GHz
    15.4" WXGA BrightView Widescreen (1280x800)
    NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) Go 6150
    Upgrade to 1.0GB DDR2 SDRAM (2x512MB)
100 GB 5400 RPM SATA Hard Drive
    DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive
    802.11a/b/g WLAN & Bluetooth
    6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery

I could get that for under 1000$ after the rebate. I think that that will actually be my next laptop, I would also pay for the HP sport backpack.

    Update

As you can see I have updated a couple of things in the sidebar.

I finally found out where I had put the CD holding all of Stella's pictures and video's that she had given to me. They were very nice actually. Perhaps I will post some of them.

Thoth Has a Nikon CoolPix P1. Quite good actually. Old by now. But actually the first camera to offer Wi-Fi.

I've been putting more songs onto my iPod now. There are quite a few in it right now. But I will of course keep adding more. I especially like the fact that it can do more than just play music. Its really useful.

Thoth has recently tried Opera. He likes it a lot. So do I actually.

I figured out how to take a screenshot in Mac OS X. You just press Command+shift+3. Then a file will be on the desktop which is obviously the screenshot you just took. Thoth took some of his own desktop but I wont post them. As he has his MSN window open in one which reveals all his contacts!

The graphics in Mac OS X really are nice. The dock is so much easier to use than the Windows Taskbar. Its far easier to use and isn't as susceptible to virus's.

And also Windows Vista has such high specs! Eventually people will be able to install OS X on a PC. And when that happens I will certainly use OS X.

I'm on my laptop right now. As always. Its about 8:15 AM. I actually got up at about 5:00AM though.

Stella's older camera was a Casio Exilim EX-Z4. But Im not sure. Because as I looked through the pictures it seemed that she had two, (the other a Nikon CoolPix E950) which she didn't.

I currently have 66 MSN contacts... Not that many, but I've just cleared out a few.

I wish that I have 1 GB RAM in my laptop.

I am using a nice new wallpaper. Actually its a picture that Thoth Sent to me. Its very nice.

    Anyway bye for now.

Windows X's website is back up!

As you can see from the title the popular desktop modder, and maker of the Vista TRansformation Pack (Currently in version 4) is back and with a new and improved website. ( http://www.windowsxlive.net/

Also he indicated that the 5th release of the popular transformation pack will be coming out in august 24 2006.

I can't wait! And his new site rocks. Even better than the old one I find.

I added his site to the links in the sidebar. Unfortunately his website is currently down. But I look forward to seeing it back up again!

Well is august. A new month. Hopefully a good month too!

As you can see I have changed the blogs title a bit. From "The Computer Kids Shrine" to "The Photography Kids Shrine". Quite fitting as I'm now really into that area.

I may make a few youtube movies and put them on my blog @ Some point. Stella and My dad are both using it. Actually embedding the image into the posts HTML code.

I really like the Sony R1. Very high-end. Some day I will be posting photo's taken with it!

I'm on my laptop ATM. Its 9:50 AM.

I'll reinstall XP on my laptop in september. I'd like to start again on here. (lol)

Now there are 6 months of archives. This blog has been with me since I started off...

Today it has been just too hot! Theres been a heat wave over here. Also, severe thunder-storms are expected later on.

There are currently 111 posts on this blog.

I've been using my iPod a lot. I love it!
    Anyway bye for now...
